VISION

To prepare the students to be able for higher education, such as M.Sc., integrated Ph.D., etc. courses and for other competitive examinations.

MISSION

Centralized the applications of Physics, Astro-physics & Electronics and related advanced technology.

STRENGTH

1. Experienced and well qualified staff. 2. Computer with Internet Facility for staff and students. 3. Well equipped lab for B. Sc. I, B. Sc. II. & B. Sc. III classes. 4. Well Equipped laboratory with standard equipment and digital instruments. 5. Staff is engaged actively in research. 6. Separate departmental library with ample number of reference books. 7. Average result of department is 84%. 8. Adequate number of charts. 9. Bridge course and remedial coaching facility 10. One UGC Minor research project is undergoing. Weaknesses 1. Separate dark-room, semi-dark room facility essential. 2. Lab facilities in laboratory are inadequate as compared to student strength. 3. Computer facility should be enhanced. 4. Teaching staff is less as compared to the work load.

1. Less no. of students prefer physics as a special subject for B.Sc. III. 2. Competition with other colleges.

FUTURE PLAN

1. Starting carrier oriented course like certificate course in maintenance of electrical & electronics appliances. 2. Arrangement of study tours 3. Awareness about saving electrical energy & use of solar energy 4. Implementation of project work for degree students. 5. Academic Improvement by internal evaluation by MCQ tests, home assignments, tutorials etc. 6. The faculty to be continuously engaged in research work and updating knowledge by attending and organizing seminars and conferences.
