VISION

Department of Economics should be known to imparting quality higher education to rural and Socio-economically deprived sections of the society viewing national and global necessities because of the changing and evolving Economy.

MISSION

1. To avail global knowledge of higher education in Economics to rural masses and local community. 2. To provide educational facilities to the students of downtrodden, deprived and backward classes of the society. 3. To prepare the students for further studies in Economics. 4. To enable the students to accept the challenges of the world economy. 5. To inculcate values of social equality, secularism and national integration among the students.

SWOC ANALYSIS

STRENGTH

1. Department of Economics has qualified and well experience teaching staff. 2. Sound infrastructure and good educational environment. 3. Introduced Certificate course based on local need (banking).

WEAKNESS

1. Less student strength. Student strength is less because three colleges in our area conducting the same courses. 2. The students are belong to rural area so they have to face many difficulties.

OPPORTUNITY

1) Starting of short term course. 2) Competitive exam guidance from the top college in the town. 3) The students have many opportunities to work for central government sector. 4) To organize group discussion on issues social local level.

CHALLENGE

1) Student of the department having deprived backward region. 2) Poor communication skills. 3) Computer facility should be enhanced. 4) College run in rural area so student have not approach to higher education because no availability of near P.G., Centers. 5) The students are belong to rural area so they have to face many difficulties.

FUTURE PLAN

1. To guide to students about seminar, projects and surveys. 2. Counselling to the students for personality development. 3. To start banking examination guidance center.
